How it Works

DroidTracker Pro consists of two parts: a small application that runs on your phone and a centralized database/Web portal. The application runs silently and efficiently in the background on your phone. Periodically it takes a reading of your location from the GPS receiver that is built-into your phone and then securely transmits this position to the central server.

Should you ever lose your phone, you simply access the Locate Phone section on the DroidTracker Pro Web portal, supply the e-mail address and password that you supplied during the registration process, and DroidTracker Pro displays the exact location that your phone last reported.

One of the biggest advantages this service has over the various non-professional offerings is that DroidTracker Pro is able to pinpoint your phone even if it has been turned off, or the battery has died, etc. The competitors rely on being able to send a signal to your phone after you have already lost your phone! In most cases you will never be able to recover your phone using one of these lower-end servics. DroidTracker Pro is very different -- it works for you 24/7, protecting your phone tirelessly.
